Job summary

City College Norwich is seeking a Planning and Timetabling Officer to support the end-to-end curriculum planning and timetabling cycle, ensuring compliant data and efficient resource use for a smooth student experience.

You will collaborate across departments to deliver accurate timetables, monitor room utilisation, and uphold funding and audit requirements while meeting key deadlines and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) with Level 2 Maths and English.
• Experience in process improvement, planning, or data-driven roles.
• Strong problem-solving skills in complex data and scheduling.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and data systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Experience in a further education setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain accurate timetables and curriculum plans.
• Support annual and in-year planning cycles and meet deadlines.
• Monitor room utilisation and timetable efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, validation, and audit compliance.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the College.
• Support planning meetings and coordinate actions.
• Provide excellent customer service through effective communication.
• Ensure compliance with funding, audit, and regulatory requirements.
