Job summary

Longsands Academy in St Neots is seeking a Vice Principal for Curriculum & Teaching to shape the educational vision and deliver a high-quality, knowledge-rich curriculum across the academy.

As a senior leader, you will coach staff, drive improvements in teaching, and monitor progress using data to raise scholar achievement and close gaps.

This full-time permanent post starts January 2027 and requires safeguarding, inclusion and a commitment to delivering an exceptional education for every scholar.

Qualifications

• Outstanding classroom practitioner with a track record of excellent outcomes.
• Experience in senior or substantial middle leadership.
• Experience leading curriculum, teaching, or school improvement initiatives with impact.
• Proven ability to coach and develop teachers and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment.
• Lead development and implementation of a knowledge-rich curriculum.
• Drive teaching quality through coaching, mentoring and professional development.
• Monitor and evaluate education quality across all departments.

• Lead curriculum and subject leaders to secure excellence.
