Job summary

The Limes College is seeking a Curriculum Support Assistant (Outdoor and Physical Education) to join the PE Department. The role is permanent, 33 hours per week, term-time plus INSET days with additional residential attendance. Starting salary £28,050 per year, with a broader NJC scale for context.

Closing date 11 October 2026. You will support in classes or one-to-one, helping to engage with students and improve attendance and progress across the curriculum.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at A-C or equivalent.
• Experience with students with behavioural difficulties and/or additional needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, students, parents/carers and other professionals.

Actual Starting Salary: £28,050 per annum

33 hours per week, working term time plus INSET days and including a minimum of 5 days residential attendance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Curriculum Support Assistant to join the PE Department. We are looking for a strong and dynamic person who likes a challenge and can engage with, and inspire, our students to improve attendance, behaviour and progress across all areas of the curriculum.

You will be required to support in class or on a one-to-one basis.

The ideal candidate will have:

• English and Maths qualifications GCSE grade A-C or equivalent;
• Experience of working with students with behavioural difficulties and/or additional needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups;
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, parents/carers and other professionals.
