Job summary

Doncaster College is seeking a Curriculum Support Administrator to join our Curriculum Support team.

You will provide high-quality administrative support across curriculum areas, handling student data, admissions, enrolment, and examinations, working closely with curriculum teams and managers to maintain records and ensure efficient processes across FE, higher education, apprenticeships and adult education.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualification or above in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience within education.
  • Experience in a student administration, data-related or transferable administrative role.
  • Experience using IT systems effectively, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Access.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, use initiative and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support curriculum teams with a wide range of administrative and student data-related activities.
  • Assist with admissions, learner enquiries, applications and enrolment processes.
  • Maintain accurate student records and ensure information is processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support examinations and initial assessments, including booking, administration and invigilation activities.
  • Record and report student absence information for curriculum areas.
  • Process Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications and maintain records.
  • Organise meetings, prepare documentation and take minutes for required meetings.
  • Support purchase ordering processes and assist with invoice administration.
  • Register students on relevant online platforms and support certification and registration processes.
  • Contribute to service improvements, quality processes, audits and business transformation initiatives.

In this varied role, you will provide high-quality administrative support across curriculum areas, helping to ensure that student records, data and processes are maintained accurately and efficiently. Working closely with curriculum teams, the Curriculum Administration Team Leader and Curriculum Administration Manager, you will support a wide range of activities including admissions, enrolment, student data administration, examinations, attendance monitoring, DBS processing and meeting administration.

Your contribution will play an important part in supporting learners, staff and stakeholders across further education, higher education, apprenticeships and adult education. Key Responsibilities

Essential Criteria
  • Level 2 qualification or above in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and technical expertise within the education sector.
  • Experience in a student administration, data-related or other transferable administrative role.
  • Experience using IT systems effectively and accurately, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Access.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage workloads effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, use initiative appropriately and meet deadlines.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
  • IT qualification at Level 1 or above.
  • Experience of using student data management software, preferably ProSolution.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
  • Salary: £24,826 - £25,511 per annum
  • Contract Type: Fixed Term (1 year maternity cover)
  • Hours: 35.5 hours per week
  • Core Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4:00pm Friday
  • Location: Doncaster[ This is a group role, so you will be expected to work flexibly across both campus sites at Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Hull according to business needs.]
