Job summary

DN Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Student Disability Adviser to support Higher Education students who declare a disability, helping them access Disabled Students' Allowance and other services across college sites.

You will act as a key point of contact for prospective and current students, coordinating needs assessments, arranging reasonable adjustments and signposting to internal support services, with ongoing records and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Experience of working within an educational environment.
• Knowledge of the impact of disability within a learning environment.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

We are looking for a Student Disability Adviser to provide dedicated advice and guidance to Higher Education students who declare a disability, helping them access the support available to them throughout their studies.

In this important role, you will act as a key point of contact for prospective and current students, supporting them with Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) applications, coordinating reasonable adjustments, and ensuring they can access the services and support they need to succeed. Working closely with students, academic staff and support services, you will contribute to a positive, inclusive and student-focused environment where every learner is valued and supported.

• Salary of £26,131 to £27,436 per annum.
• Permanent role with 35.5 hours per week.
• 30 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays and two weeks at Christmas.

The LET's Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
