Job summary

Acis is seeking an inspiring Curriculum Manager to lead the development of an innovative, high-quality curriculum for learners with EHCPs, helping them build confidence and independence. This is more than a management role – it’s an opportunity to shape experiences and lead professionals to create empowering learning environments.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, teaching expertise and a commitment to safeguarding in a dynamic education setting.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or can demonstrate relevant equivalent experience
  • Teaching qualification or relevant equivalent qualification with demonstrable teaching experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience of managing or leading a delivery area within the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
  • DSL Level 3 trained or willingness to undertake, with substantial experience of dealing with complex cases
  • Demonstrable evidence of leadership and management development or skills
  • Significant experience of delivering programmes to support those on EHC Plans
  • An organised individual who can plan and monitor a varied workload
  • Strong people skills which encourages others to work collaboratively
  • Strong literacy skills with the ability to write clearly and effectively
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to meet challenges and adapt to change
  • Ability to deal with challenging behaviour at times
  • Being self-motivated, resilient, with a drive and determination to achieve results
  • General awareness of health and safety and building management
  • Strong IT skills, across multiple platforms, with an indepth knowledge of office tools, with an eye for detail that’s second to none.
  • Strong communicator with excellent customer service experience and skills
  • Ability to work as a team, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • A good understanding of the barriers faced by people, and the solutions that may be able to benefit them
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, whether in the same team or external support providers

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of an innovative, high‑quality curriculum for learners with EHCPs

  • Support Learners and staff with strategic planning and monitoring of workload
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication and collaboration with external partners
  • Ensure safeguarding and health and safety standards are embedded across all learning activities

Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you:

  • Qualified Assessor for example Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or willingness to undertake
