Job summary

Acis Group is seeking a Curriculum Manager for Skills Centre PLUS to lead the development of a high‑quality curriculum for learners with EHCPs, helping them gain confidence, independence and meaningful futures.

You will drive curriculum strategy, coordinate delivery across teams, ensure safeguarding and quality standards, and collaborate with partners to meet learner needs. A passion for learners, effective leadership and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent with demonstrable teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of EIF within the Education Inspection Framework
  • DSL Level 3 trained or willingness to undertake
  • Evidence of leadership and management development
  • Experience delivering programmes for learners on EHC Plans
  • Organised with ability to plan and monitor workload
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
  • Awareness of health and safety and building management

Overview

We are looking for an inspiring Curriculum Manager to lead the development of an innovative, high‑quality curriculum for learners with EHCPs, helping them build confidence, independence and meaningful futures.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Educated to degree level or can demonstrate relevant equivalent experience
  • Teaching qualification or relevant equivalent qualification with demonstrable teaching experience
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience of managing or leading a delivery area within the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
  • DSL Level 3 trained or willingness to undertake, with substantial experience of dealing with complex cases
  • Demonstrable evidence of leadership and management development or skills
  • Significant experience of delivering programmes to support those on EHC Plans
  • An organised individual who can plan and monitor a varied workload
  • Strong people skills which encourage others to work collaboratively
  • Strong literacy skills with the ability to write clearly and effectively
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to meet challenges and adapt to change
  • Ability to deal with challenging behaviour at times
  • Self‑motivated, resilient, with a drive and determination to achieve results
  • General awareness of health and safety and building management
  • Strong IT skills across multiple platforms, with an in‑depth knowledge of office tools and an eye for detail that’s second to none
  • Strong communicator with excellent customer service experience and skills
  • Ability to work as a team, under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment
  • A good understanding of the barriers faced by people, and the solutions that may be able to benefit them
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, whether in the same team or external support providers
Stand‑Out Qualifications
  • Qualified IQA Level4, or working towards
  • Qualified Assessor (e.g., Level3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) or willingness to undertake
  • MHFA
  • Ofsted nominee experience
  • Experience working with awarding bodies to develop qualifications to meet learner needs
