Yeovil College seeks an experienced Engineering Curriculum Leader to shape its Defence Technical Excellence College (DTEC) engineering offer, aligning programmes with employer needs and defence sector requirements. You will lead the DTEC Engineering curriculum, partner with defence employers, industry partners and networks to build progression routes, ensuring high-quality learning and industry relevance.
This is a ground-up role offering impact, leadership and opportunities to develop
Be part of something new, ambitious and closely connected to the future of UK defence. Yeovil College is developing its Defence Technical Excellence College (DTEC), creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Curriculum Leader to take a leading role in shaping our Defence curriculum agenda. Working at the intersection of engineering, technical education and industry, you’ll help develop programmes that respond directly to employer needs and equip the next generation with the specialist skills needed across the defence sector.
As the first Curriculum Leader for Engineering DTEC, you’ll have a unique opportunity to help build and shape something from the ground up. You’ll lead the DTEC Engineering curriculum, working with defence employers, industry partners, hub-and-spoke colleges and the National Defence College Network to develop innovative, employer-informed programmes and progression pathways. With opportunities to shape specialist provision across aerospace and UAS, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing and subsea technologies, you’ll bring your engineering expertise and industry insight to identify opportunities, drive curriculum growth and develop the technical talent needed for the future defence sector. Alongside leading a team of specialist staff, you’ll champion quality, innovation and industry relevance across DTEC delivery. This is your opportunity to get in at the start, shape a growing Defence offer and make your mark on the future of technical education.
