Job summary

Yeovil College seeks an experienced Engineering Curriculum Leader to shape its Defence Technical Excellence College (DTEC) engineering offer, aligning programmes with employer needs and defence sector requirements. You will lead the DTEC Engineering curriculum, partner with defence employers, industry partners and networks to build progression routes, ensuring high-quality learning and industry relevance.

Qualifications

• Engineering and defence/technical discipline knowledge required.
• Up-to-date understanding of academic, technical and apprenticeship provision.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with employers, partners and teams.
• Commitment to learner-first teaching and continuous improvement.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Level 5 teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve).

Responsibilities

• Lead the DTEC Engineering curriculum from the ground up.
• Collaborate with defence employers, hub-and-spoke colleges and the Network.
• Develop progression pathways and employer-informed programmes.
• Champion quality, innovation and industry relevance across delivery.
