Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council's Adult Learning team seeks a Curriculum Coordinator to plan, develop and deliver high-quality programmes across our region, ensuring inclusive, engaging learning experiences and strong learner support.

You will lead curriculum development, collaborate with tutors and partners, monitor progress, drive quality assurance, and champion safeguarding, equality and inclusion while supporting staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent teaching experience.
• Teaching qualification to at least Level 5 or willingness to obtain.
• Level 2 English/Maths qualification or equivalent.
• Level 2 ICT qualification or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, organisation and development of curriculum programmes within your specialist area to enhance quality and learner outcomes.
• Collaborate with curriculum colleagues to design high-quality learning pathways that support learner progression.
• Deliver teaching and training within your area of expertise.
• Support recruitment, induction and ongoing support of tutors and learners.
• Monitor learner progress, achievement and wellbeing, addressing barriers to learning and ensuring accurate performance reporting.
• Implement quality assurance processes, including self-assessment, monitoring and evaluation activities, to meet service, funding and Ofsted requirements.
• Support tutors in the effective use of ILPs and learner support plans.
• Promote inclusive learning practices and adapt delivery to meet the needs of vulnerable learners and those with additional needs.
• Work alongside the SENDCO to provide guidance and training on inclusive teaching approaches and SEND-related support.
• Line manage and support tutors and teachers, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
• Conduct formal observations and quality monitoring activities to support continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to develop services and learning opportunities.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, service development and growth through active participation in meetings and improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to provide an integrated learner experience.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond effectively to feedback and complaints.
• Champion equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Travel across various locations within the county as required.
