Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic Curriculum Coordinator to support planning, delivery, quality assurance and continuous improvement of adult mental health and wellbeing learning programmes. You will coordinate a curriculum that promotes wellbeing, recovery and confidence, with line management of Tutors, Learning Support Assistants and volunteers.

The role combines teaching, programme coordination and some managerial responsibilities within an inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Hold a nationally recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above with experience of delivering courses to adult learners (if you do not yet hold a higher teaching qualification than Level 3 there is an expectation that you would demonstrate a willingness to undertake this)
• Have experience of line management duties including: supervisions, Annual Performance Reviews and providing developmental feedback
• Be familiar with principles of quality assurance and quality improvement and have experience of these processes in the context of adult learning
• Have current knowledge of mental health and wellbeing topics with consideration of how learning can improve overall wellbeing
• Demonstrate an ability to engage with local community groups, colleagues, partners and other agencies to develop and deliver a programme of learning opportunities
• Have excellent English (Level 2), maths (Level 2), digital, communication and organisational skills
• Be familiar with the principles of safeguarding adults

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated curriculum coordinator to support the planning, delivery, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of adult mental health and wellbeing learning programmes. The successful candidate will coordinate a curriculum that promotes wellbeing, recovery, resilience and confidence. The role combines programme coordination, line management and teaching responsibilities. The postholder will design and deliver high-quality learning sessions, develop engaging teaching resources, support learners to progress, and create inclusive learning environments that encourage participation and achievement. The coordinator has line management responsibility for Tutors, Learning Support Assistants and volunteers within the curriculum and reports to the curriculum Programme Manager. Working closely with learners, colleagues, community partners, support services and partners across LCC the curriculum coordinator will develop learning opportunities, support promotional activities and maintain accurate learner and line management records. They will also take responsibility for quality assurance activities, including class visits, internal verification of non-accredited courses and participate in cross curricula Go Out and Learn (GOAL) activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational, line management, teaching and communication skills, together with a commitment to adult learning, mental health and wellbeing.
