The Role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to achieve their best, while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

What You Need To Do:

  • Create a caring and attentive environment, celebrating successes and nurturing talent within your team, role-modelling a coaching culture.
  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and team skills.
  • Maintain impeccable food, health, and safety standards; understand financial aspects like gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build a coaching culture within your team, working closely with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Be a forward-thinking problem solver, capable of quick decision-making and thinking on your feet.

What We Look For:

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, with a track record of performance management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to have meaningful conversations and support your team.
  • Proven experience maintaining high standards in food safety, health, and safety.
  • Understanding of financial performance, including gross profit and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Inspiring leadership qualities that motivate teams to thrive and grow.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and effectively.
