Job summary

Leeds City College, part of Luminate Education Group, is seeking an experienced Course Leader for Culinary Skills at the Printworks campus. You will oversee the School of Travel, Food and Drink, shaping the curriculum and ensuring learners receive an outstanding experience.

You will drive industry links, develop the new Student Academy Restaurant and support learners toward employment and apprenticeships, with a focus on real-world learning and progression within hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating a course or curriculum area.
• Passion for Culinary Skills and hospitality industry.
• Ability to use data to identify priorities and drive improvement.
• Commitment to real-world learner experiences and employability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Culinary Skills courses to deliver an outstanding learner experience.
• Provide strong course leadership and maintain high teaching standards.
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement; take corrective action.
• Create engaging curriculum developing technical, practical, and professional skills.
• Drive industry engagement and employer links for learners.
• Shape the Student Academy Restaurant and integrate it into the curriculum.
• Maintain high expectations and professional standards for learners.
• Contribute to curriculum development in response to industry trends.
• Build a positive course culture that motivates learners.
