Job summary

Sodexo at Sevenoaks School, Sevenoaks, Kent, is seeking an Apprentice Commis Chef to start a rewarding culinary career. Earn while you learn in a professional kitchen and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.

You will train under experienced chefs, assisting with breakfast, lunch, and dinner service while gaining hands-on experience and the opportunity for progression within Sodexo. Uniform and meals are provided during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high quality meals.
• Learn a range of cooking techniques and kitchen skills from experienced chefs.
• Support food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and hospitality events.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage, and delivery checks.
• Follow dietary requirements and allergen procedures.
