Job summary

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Radiographic Assistant CT & MRI to assist in the preparation and care of patients undergoing CT and MRI scans. The role involves close patient contact and liaison with staff in the scanning suite and other departments.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided; the post starts at NHS Band 2 and can progress to Band 3 once competencies are reached. Shifts cover 7am to 8pm with flexible rota.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is necessary as full training is provided.
• Health care experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and care of patients undergoing CT and MRI scans.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients.
• Assist patients to change and prepare for CT and MRI scans.
• IV cannulation.
• Clerical duties and use of the departmental computer systems.
