Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated CT & MRI Assistant to support patient care in the scanning suite. The role starts at NHS Band 2 with progression to Band 3 as competencies are reached. Shifts cover 7am to 8pm across seven days, with full-time or part-time hours and a focus on patient reassurance and teamwork.

You will work at Royal Bournemouth Hospital and the Boscombe CT scanner site, training provided, no sponsorship offered.

Qualifications

• Literate and numerate.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and care of patients undergoing CT and MRI scans.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients undergoing scans and liaise with staff.
• Assist patients to change and prepare for CT and MRI procedures.
• Perform IV cannulation when required and handle clerical duties.
• Use departmental computer systems to record and track patient information.
