Job summary

West Berkshire Community Hospital is seeking a Band 3 Radiology Department Assistant to join the MRI department, providing support to radiographers and clinical teams. The role involves patient care, reception duties and general admin across a 7-day operation from 8am to 8pm.

Applicants should have a good level of English and Maths, plus data inputting experience. Flexible working arrangements may be considered, with weekend availability encouraged.

• Previous work experience in relevant sector.

Responsibilities

• The postholder will assist Radiographers, Consultant Radiologists and other staff working within the MRI Departmen carrying out radiography-related duties, as required
• They will contribute to the provision of high quality patient care for all patients attending the Radiology Department, ensuring seamless delivery of services within the designated work area
• The postholder will carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care, under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner. To include supporting patients with personal care needs, and providing chaperoning support as required
• They will work within the reception areas and appointments centre, as required, performing patient reception duties, and general administrative & clerical tasks as defined by the Service Manager
• The postholder is required to take accountability and responsibility for own actions ,and to work within the CARE values of the Trust
