Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 2 CSSD role at Bristol Royal Infirmary. You will handle decontamination tasks including receipt, cleaning, disassembly, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices, recording activity in the tracking system, and supporting a safe, efficient CSSD operation.

The post requires teamwork and on-the-job training; you will work a shift pattern across weekdays with weekends and bank holidays included.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team.
• Experience in sterile services or a comparable department.
• Literacy and Numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out receipt, disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices.
• Record all tasks in the tracking and tracing database.
• Work as part of a team and participate in on-the-job training as required.
• Support safety, cleanliness and operational efficiency within CSSD.
• Perform daily tasks and participate in the department's competences and development.
