Job summary

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking a motivated CSSD Technician for a bank position. You will work behind the scenes to ensure reusable medical devices and instruments are cleaned, sterilised and ready for use across theatres and clinics. Training is provided as part of a structured program.

No prior CSSD experience is required, and you will develop skills across the entire decontamination process while contributing to patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• No CSSD experience required; full training provided.
• Develop knowledge across all aspects of the decontamination process.
• Bank position with no guaranteed hours; shifts vary to meet service needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in disassembly, disinfection, inspection, assembly, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices.
• Support delivery of a high-quality decontamination service for theatres, clinics and patient areas.
