Job summary

Smart 4 EPC is seeking a CSA Engineer to coordinate Civil, Structural & Architectural works on a site in Blyth, UK. You will review drawings, support QA/QC, and liaise with design teams and subcontractors to keep the programme on track.

With a Civil/CSA background and at least 3 years in construction, you will help set out, check dimensions, and assist in snagging and close-out of project items, contributing to safe, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience within the CSA construction sector.
• Experience working on Civil, Structural, and Architectural elements of construction projects.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and site practices.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Strong technical understanding of CSA construction methodologies.
• Experience in data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination and delivery of CSA works across the project lifecycle.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Assist with the implementation of site QA/QC processes and ensure works are completed to required standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, and the wider project team on daily site activities.
• Monitor site progress and report on programme status to senior engineers and management.
• Ensure all documentation, including technical submittals and safety documentation, is maintained and up to date.
• Attend Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, and Planning Meetings.
• Liaise with the design team to request and track construction information (RFIs).
• Assist with setting out, checking works, and verifying dimensions on site.
• Support commercial management by tracking variations and assisting with progress claimsIdentify and assist in resolving technical, design, and coordination issues.
• Assist with the management and close-out of CSA snagging items.
