Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced CS&A Engineer to deliver civil and structural design work on long-term contracts in the UK, with roles based in Whitehaven or Warrington and hybrid working.

You will contribute to technical delivery, coordinate surveys, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with British Standards and CDM regulations. BPSS clearance is required prior to starting.

CS&A Engineer - Civil & Structural

• Locations: Whitehaven or Warrington
• Contract: 12 months, long-term rolling contract
• Working pattern: Hybrid
• IR35: Inside IR35
• Pay: Competitive hourly Umbrella rates
• Clearance: BPSS clearance required prior to starting

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced CS&A Engineers to join a busy engineering team, supporting the delivery of complex civil and structural engineering projects.

These are long-term contract opportunities offering hybrid working, with positions available from either Westlakes or Warrington.

The Role

As a CS&A Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery and quality of civil and structural engineering work, working collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality civil and structural engineering designs to agreed scope, programme, cost and quality requirements
• Developing and delivering design documentation and engineering solutions
• Leading and supporting projects of varying size and complexity
• Providing technical input and justification to clients and multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinating and supervising condition, measurement and other engineering surveys
• Supporting and developing junior engineers and designers
• Chairing technical meetings, progress meetings and design reviews
• Working independently on complex engineering activities
• Ensuring compliance with relevant business, quality and engineering standards

About You

We are looking for candidates with:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent underpinning knowledge and experience
• Strong experience within a civil and structural design environment, from within a nuclear of other highly regulated industry
• Experience leading projects and managing technical delivery, quality, programme, budget and resources
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and associated design software
• Knowledge of British Standards and CDM Regulations
• Experience detailing reinforced concrete and structural steelwork
• Good understanding of applicable engineering codes and safety legislation
• Happy to undergo BPSS clearance prior to starting
