Job summary

Omega Resource Group is hiring a Warehouse Operative in Witney to pack and move cryogenic systems and related equipment from testing through to dispatch. You will prepare shipments for domestic and international freight, maintain packing areas, and work with Test Engineers to ensure accurate and safe handling of fragile equipment.

The role requires a forklift licence, careful attention to packing documentation, and independent work habits.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence – essential.
• Experience in packing, logistics, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• Able to follow instructions and packing documentation accurately.
• Computer literacy and basic paperwork experience.
• Ability to work independently and ensure accurate shipment completion.
• Physically capable of packing and material-moving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Move completed systems from the Test Lab to the packing area.
• Check equipment against the packing list before packing.
• Pack cryogenic systems safely into shipping crates.
• Label and protect transfer lines, cables and equipment.
• Photograph systems before and during packing.
• Assist Test Engineers with test bay setup and clear down.
• Prepare equipment and items for testing.
• Keep packing and test areas clean and organized.
• Arrange courier collections and freight.
• Prepare packing lists and shipping paperwork.
• Prepare customs documentation for international shipments.
• Record shipment weights, dimensions and contents.
• Load crates onto collection vehicles.
• Operate the forklift for moving and loading equipment.
