Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support all aspects of our warehouse operations. The role involves manual handling, picking and packing, using hand held scanners, and collaborating with transport partners to meet daily targets.

The position features a predominantly manual workload with occasional forklift driving (~10%). Start date ASAP and a friendly team environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
• Able to perform heavy lifting and manual handling.
• FLT driving experience is a plus (approx. 10%).

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing orders.
• Hand balling/manually unloading deliveries.
• Producing paperwork and dispatch labels.
• Liaise with transport companies to meet daily collection targets.
• Pick & pack orders for despatch with hand held scanners to ensure accuracy.
• Manage stock and prepare transfers for loading onto vehicles.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles by hand or using MHE.
• Move between departments as required.

Job description

We're looking for a skilled Warehouse Operative to support all aspects of our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in warehouse related work and ideally have used Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) previously. This is predominately a manual warehouse role with limited FLT driving (10%) and will involve some heavy lifting.

Key Responsibilities for a Warehouse Operative:

• Picking and packing orders
• Hand balling/manually unloading deliveries
• Producing paperwork and dispatch labels
• Liaise with transport companies ensuring daily collection targets are met.
• Picking & packing orders for despatch ensuring a high level of accuracy using hand held scanners.
• Manage stock and prepare transfers for loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with MHE.
• Ability to move between departments

Key Skills for a Warehouse Operative:

• Valid forklift license
• Strong communication skills & team player.
• Organised, pro-active & positive attitude.

Additional Info:

• Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am-5.30pm 8.00am-2.45pm on Friday
• Salary: £27,200 per annum
• Start Date: ASAP
