Job summary

Staffline in Witney is recruiting a Warehouse Operative to assist with packing and dispatch of cryogenic systems and related equipment. You will move finished items from the Test Lab, pack, label and prepare shipments for UK and international freight, and operate the forklift for safe loading.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with early finish on Friday at 1:00 pm. The role requires a forklift licence, attention to detail and the ability to follow packing documentation

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is essential.
• Experience in packing, logistics, manufacturing or an engineering environment.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• Able to follow instructions and packing documentation accurately.
• Comfortable using computers and completing basic paperwork.
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for completing shipments correctly.
• Physically capable of handling packing and material-moving activities.

Responsibilities

• Move completed systems from the Test Lab to the packing area.
• Check all equipment against the packing list before packing.
• Pack cryogenic systems safely and securely into shipping crates.
• Pack, protect and clearly label transfer lines, cables and other equipment.
• Take photographs of systems and equipment before and during packing.
• Assist Test Engineers with setting up and clearing test bays.
• Prepare equipment, cables, hoses and other items required for testing.
• Arrange collections with couriers and freight companies.
• Prepare packing lists and shipping paperwork.
• Prepare customs documentation for international shipments.
• Record shipment weights, dimensions and contents accurately.
• Load crates and equipment safely onto collection vehicles.
• Operate the forklift for moving and loading equipment.

Essential Requirements
