Job summary

Omega Resource Group is hiring a Warehouse Operative in Witney to pack and move cryogenic systems and related equipment from testing through to dispatch. You will prepare shipments for domestic and international freight, maintain packing areas, and work with Test Engineers to ensure accurate and safe handling of fragile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move completed systems from the Test Lab to the packing area.
• Check equipment against the packing list before packing.
• Pack cryogenic systems safely into shipping crates.
• Label and protect transfer lines, cables and equipment.
• Photograph systems before and during packing.
• Assist Test Engineers with test bay setup and clear down.
• Prepare equipment and items for testing.
• Keep packing and test areas clean and organized.
• Arrange courier collections and freight.

• Prepare customs documentation for international shipments.
• Record shipment weights, dimensions and contents.

Position: Warehouse Operative

Salary: £28,500 – 30,000

Type of role: permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and early finish on Friday at 1:00 pm

Location: Wintney

We are now seeking to recruit Warehouse Operator to assist with packing and moving company bespokesystems and equipment from completion of testing through to packing and dispatch.

The role includes packing cryogenic systems, transfer lines, cables and associated equipment, preparing and organising test bays, and arranging UK and international shipments.

Main Responsibilities

• Move completed systems from the Test Lab to the packing area.
• Check all equipment against the packing list before packing.
• Pack cryogenic systems safely and securely into shipping crates.
• Pack, protect and clearly label transfer lines, cables, valves and other equipment.
• Take photographs of systems and equipment before and during packing.
• Assist Test Engineers with setting up and clearing test bays.
• Prepare equipment, cables, hoses and other items required for testing.
• Keep the packing and test areas clean and organised.
• Arrange collections with couriers and freight companies.
• Prepare packing lists and shipping paperwork.
• Prepare customs documentation for international shipments.
• Record shipment weights, dimensions and contents accurately.
• Load crates and equipment safely onto collection vehicles.
• Operate the forklift for moving and loading equipment.

Essential Requirements

• Forklift licence – essential.
• Previous experience in packing, logistics, manufacturing or an engineering environment.
