Job summary

Amentum in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cryogenic Maintenance Technician to perform periodic maintenance, reconstitution, and storage of cryogenic assets in accordance with the PWS and applicable USAF requirements. You will inspect assets, identify parts, troubleshoot malfunctions, calibrate gauges, and document work orders.

The role requires 1–3 years of cryogenics experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Formal training in mechanical maintenance of cryogenic equipment.
• 1–3 years' experience in cryogenics or related maintenance.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Authorized to work in the host country.

Responsibilities

• Comply with SOPs, safety policies and USAF orders.
• Perform periodic maintenance, reconstitution, and storage of cryogenic assets per USAF TOs.
• Inspect and evaluate cryogenic assets and components.
• Identify replacement parts and part numbers.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform maintenance on cryotanks, transfer tubes, and valves.
• Prepare and document time sheets, work orders, and maintenance records.
• Calibrate gauges and perform hydrostatic testing of liquid samplers.
• Manage HAZMAT inventories and coordinate disposal when required.
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Support shop safety and related training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
