Job summary

Marella Discovery 2 is seeking an experienced 3rd Engineer to maintain safe engine room watches and oversee main/auxiliary engine performance aboard a cruise vessel. You will coordinate with other technical teams to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance.

Applicants should have STCW95, CoC A-III/1, and prior shipboard experience, with strong English communication and safety awareness. The role requires flexibility for shipboard schedules.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 certification and CoC A-III/1.
• Experience on passenger ships in a similar role.
• Reading and understanding technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Act as Chief Engineer's representative during Engine Room watch.
• Operate and maintain Main and Auxiliary Engines.
• Lead safe operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversee maintenance in and outside Engine Room with proper documentation.
• Coordinate with technical parties and Hotel Department on maintenance issues.
