Job summary

V.Group is seeking an experienced Engine Operator (Shipboard) to join the cruise vessel EVRIMA on a temporary contract of approximately 90 days. The role covers routine watchkeeping, maintenance, cleaning and machinery-space duties in the Engine Room, aboard a vessel operating in Europe.

Prior shipboard experience and STCW 95 with ASE A-III/5 are highly regarded. Joining mid-October 2026 with sign-off around mid-January 2027.

Qualifications

• STCW 95 certification is required.
• Experience on vessels in an equivalent position is preferred.
• Proficient in diesel engines, generators and marine systems.
• Physically and medically fit for demanding shipboard duty.

Responsibilities

• Stand engine watch as instructed by the Staff Engineer.
• Inspect machinery spaces and report deficiencies.
• Maintain and repair diesel generators, main engines and related systems.
• Assist with cleaning, painting and general engine room duties.
