Job summary

V.Group seeks a qualified 3rd Engineer for the cruise vessel DOUGLAS MAWSON. The role involves maintaining continuous engine-room watches, operating main and auxiliary engines, and supervising maintenance tasks on a shipboard environment.

Applicants must hold STCW95 and CoC A-III/1, have extensive cruise-ship experience, and be fluent in English. AMOS knowledge and ability to read technical drawings are advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the same position on cruise vessels and all valid STCW and relevant certificates.
• Experience on passenger ships in a similar role with extensive engine room duties.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals, and AMOS proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe engine room watch at sea, in port and at anchor.
• Operate and maintain Main and Auxiliary engines and supervise engine room activities.
• Lead safe operations, monitor engine control systems and supervise maintenance.
• Ensure proper stock of spares and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with technical parties and other departments.
