Job summary

CBRE Basildon requires an OCC and Maintenance Engineer to manage critical environment systems in our data centres. You will supervise maintenance teams, respond to alarms, and ensure uptime, safety and compliance across mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

The role demands 5+ years in data centres or critical environments, HVAP experience, and familiarity with CBRE processes. It is an on-site position in Basildon with strong collaborative requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as HVAP or AP across multiple sites.
• Experience with CBRE processes (quantum, harbour, CBRE permits).
• Data centre/critical environment experience required (5+ years).

Responsibilities

• Technical Supervision of critical environment systems maintaining uptime for power and cooling.
• Monitor and respond to BMS/EMS alarms for sites.
• Develop and maintain site mechanical/controls procedures aligned with client standards.
• Provide standby support to shift teams and escalate alarms per matrix.
• Report on incidents, audits and compliance with safety/environmental policies.
