Job summary

Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Transfer Practitioners to join the ARCC KSS team. The role is based at Crawley or Maidstone with 12-hour day shifts and a part-time, substantive basis.

As part of the clinical transfer team you will work with a Critical Care consultant to safely transfer critically ill adults, contributing to governance and service development. Training for local/national qualifications is supported.

Qualifications

• Registered professional (NMC/HCPC) in nursing, ACCP, ODP or paramedic.
• Post-registration critical care course or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge and clinical skills in assessing and managing critically ill patients.
• Current adult resuscitation certificate (ILS or equivalent).
• Retrieval/Transfer course (e.g. STricT) or willingness to complete on appointment.
• Evidence of degree-level qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safe inter-hospital transfers with the ARCC KSS team.
• Provide clinical interventions and support in hospital and transfer environments.
• Coordinate with medical colleagues to ensure continuous governance and learning.
