Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Staffing Administrator to support the Critical Care unit. You will coordinate staff rotas, manage daily staffing changes and absence, arrange temporary staffing, and assist payroll, recruitment and workforce administration.

The role requires NHS or similar experience, rostering expertise, strong IT skills and attention to detail. You will work independently in a busy environment to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in NHS rostering and payroll processes.
• Excellent organisational and IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Critical Care off duty meets minimum demands of the unit.
• Review absence daily and arrange cover; escalate to Matron when needed.
• Coordinate off duty rotas with CCU staff groups and CCU Charge Nurse/Sister.
• Enter rotas into the electronic system; record leave for payroll accuracy.
• Finalise duties for monthly payroll deadlines for Ward Matron.
• Allocate CCU staff to minimise use of temporary staffing and ensure EWTD compliance.
• Coordinate day-to-day booking of temporary staff with CCU and temporary staffing office.
