Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a Crisis Resilience Fund Support Officer to provide direct welfare and financial advice to residents facing crisis. You will help maximise income, access emergency assistance, and work with partners to ensure timely support and long-term resilience.

In this role you will monitor demand, analyse outcomes for reporting, and contribute to service improvements while maintaining a compassionate approach to residents and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing customer-focused advice, support, or welfare services.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of benefits, welfare support, debt advice, or financial inclusion initiatives is desirable.
• Ability to build effective relationships with residents, partners, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide welfare and financial advice to maximise income and entitlements.
• Meet with vulnerable residents in community settings.
• Work with partner organisations to align financial support.
• Monitor and analyse data to understand demand and support reporting requirements.
