Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Healthcare Support Worker to deliver compassionate community-based care. You will provide personal care and support to patients at home or in care settings, travelling between visits with your own vehicle.

The role requires an NVQ3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence. An enhanced DBS check, comprehensive induction, and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle (business insurance) for travelling to patients' homes.
• NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification/experience, and ideally experience with older people in a community setting.
• Comprehensive induction and support to complete the National Care Certificate.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support in patients' homes or care homes within the community.
• Monitor patients' condition and work with health and social care professionals to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Travelling between patients' homes to deliver care as part of a 37.5 hours per week, 7-day rota.
