Job summary

Change Grow Live Ealing RISE is seeking a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker on a sessional basis to support adults with substance use needs in the community. You will manage a caseload and provide assertive outreach and in-reach support across GP surgeries, mental health services and supported accommodation.

The role requires resilience, empathy, and strong communication; you will work with a multidisciplinary team, promote recovery, and ensure safeguarding and information governance compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience delivering groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Proactive with good time management and prioritisation.
• Good working knowledge of mental health interventions and services.
• Ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and agencies.
• Commitment to information governance and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry through treatment/recovery.
• Provide screening, assessment and recovery planning; refer onwards.
• Reduce substance-misuse-related harm in the community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Advocate for access to partnership services.
• Deliver structured group content for service users at different stages of recovery.
• Design and prepare materials for groups/pods; evaluate progress with co-facilitators.
