Job summary

Waythrough is hiring a Criminal Justice Recovery Navigator to join Calderdale Recovery Steps. You will manage caseloads, develop recovery and treatment plans, and support individuals in engagement and progression through structured treatment in partnership with IOM and Probation.

The role focuses on reducing substance-related harm and improving health outcomes within a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency setting, with emphasis on co-production and community engagement. Closing date applies.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards this.
  • Experience delivering 1-2-1 and group therapeutic interventions.
  • Understanding of and ability to implement interventions, including brief interventions MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP.
  • Experience carrying out assessment and recovery planning and risk management.
  • Experience working with models of service delivery and issues relating to recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with NICE, DOH, NTA, NMC & Caldicott standards.

Location: 8 Carlton Street, Halifax, HX1 2ALWorking Hours: 37 hours per week 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (early finish on a Thursday) with occasional late night and Saturday shift, worked on a rota basisContract Type: PermanentSalary: £25,877.80 - £34,240.03 per annum but please note the starting salary will be £28,000 per annum.

About the role:
The successful applicant will work as part of a team delivering interventions within Calderdale’s, Custody Suite, Providing Outreach and interventions, such as case management for those individuals in receipt of a community order.

You will be working in Partnership with Integrated Offender Management (IOM) and Probation, to develop and deliver a local and collective response to problematic offending. The aim is to reduce the negative impact of crime and reoffending by working in partnership to identify and support individuals who have committed prolific and repeat offences in local communities, to reduce the risk of reoffending, by supporting the reduction of substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.

Duties will include the following:

  • Manage a caseload by creating, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate and promote the progression of individuals from initial engagement into structured treatment.
  • Contribute to reducing substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
  • Collaborate closely with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals.
  • Have Excellent boundaries and ability to apply ‘co-production’ principles to any stage of treatment and recovery.
  • Be Able to think creatively about treatment options, changes and transitions in the context of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approach.
  • Encourage service users to become involved in the service and in service user forums in Calderdale that will enhance their experience and increase a sense of belonging.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above or equivalent) or willing to work towards this in post.
