Our Barry Offenders Project is looking for a dedicated individual to join their team as a Project Worker on a full-time (37hrs), permanent basis. Here, you will provide essential support to individuals aged 16+ who are involved in the criminal justice system.

Barry Offenders Project provides temporary, supported accommodation for both young and older adults involved in criminal justice services. Our Pobl teams support people in developing key skills to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability, and settle into the community for positive progression. You will be an essential part of our team, working both in the project and in the community—supporting people in their own homes.
How can I make a difference?
You will support service users by creating and implementing realistic goals around motivation to change lifestyle and habits such as employment, education, tenancy support, and avoiding criminal activity.

Our motivation is to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to live independently. The role involves working with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health issues, substance misuse, and offending behaviour. You will work with diverse personalities and behaviours, requiring adaptability and conflict management skills.
Part of your role will include lone working and sleep-in shifts at the scheme, which provides a secluded area with bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.
