Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a leader to drive crime investigation, intelligence, and partnerships across a Sainsbury's region. You will oversee a specialist team, deliver actionable intelligence, and work with police and councils to improve safety and store security.

The role requires strategic thinking paired with practical delivery, with a focus on reducing crime and protecting staff and customers. 40h workweek with on-call as needed and ongoing performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading, developing and mentoring teams in a performance-driven environment.
• Knowledge of criminal law, justice processes and police procedures.
• Ability to build partnerships with police, councils and external stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, decisiveness and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Advanced report-writing, analytical and investigative capabilities.
• Experience in fast-paced settings with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a specialist team to identify, assess, and respond to crime, threat, and risk across the designated region.
• Deliver high-quality intelligence and insight to influence internal and external partners.
• Build relationships with local and national police to maximise information sharing and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Stores, Police, Councils, BCRPs and BIDs to improve security.
• Improve safety and security of colleagues and store management by addressing root causes of crime.
