Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is seeking a Crew Operations Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract at the Ipswich Head Office. The role offers hybrid working with full-time hours (35 per week), Monday to Friday.

You will lead the Crew Management function, overseeing crew rotation, recruitment, and payroll-related updates, while ensuring compliance with MLC 2006 and company policies. Travel to vessels may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in crew management or crewing operations within maritime, cruise, aviation, rail or rota-based environments.
• Strong understanding of compliance processes in a highly regulated industry.
• Proven ability to manage crew schedules, rotations, travel arrangements and visa requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day delivery of the Crew Management function to ensure vessels are properly manned.
• Oversee crew rotation planning, mobilisation activities and travel arrangements.
• Monitor manning levels and work with stakeholders to maintain safe staffing levels.
• Manage recruitment activities across departments and onboard crews.
• Be the key point of contact between shipboard teams, shore-based departments and recruitment partners.
• Support crewing team on employment matters, crew welfare, disciplinary and payroll updates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations; support continuous improvement.
• Monitor crew budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead and develop Crewing Officers and Crewing Coordinator.
