Job summary

South Ayrshire Council is seeking personnel for Bereavement Services in Ayrshire to conduct cremations in line with regulatory requirements and to support chapel and site maintenance operations. The role also covers broader duties as directed by senior officers.

Qualifications

• Role involves carrying out cremations in compliance with Scotland regulations and Code of Practice.
• Perform chapel attendant duties and ground maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cremations in accordance with the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations 2000 and Code of Cremation Practice.
• Perform chapel attendant duties as required.
• Carry out ground maintenance duties.
• Carry out other duties as directed by Bereavement Services Officer and Service Lead Neighbourhood Services.
