Job summary

Pet Cremation Services in Guilsborough is seeking a Crematorium Office Administrator to join a small, caring team. You’ll handle admin, customer care and practical support to ensure services run smoothly and on time.

The role covers welcoming bereaved owners, managing enquiries, updating records and processing payments, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality. Hours are Tue–Fri, 9am–5pm, in a supportive, friendly environment.

  • Awareness of confidentiality and GDPR requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome pet owners and visitors with care, compassion and professionalism, including supporting visits for bereaved owners.
  • Handle telephone enquiries from pet owners, veterinary practices and other customers.
  • Maintain accurate cremation records, certificates, labels, collection records and other documentation.
  • Use Excel and business systems to update records, schedules, invoices and other operational information.
  • Take card payments and record cash sales, while checking invoices and paperwork for accuracy.
  • Support practical services such as preparing paw prints and fur clippings and returning ashes when required.
  • Help the team monitor stock, place orders and maintain a clean, welcoming office and public areas.

Crematorium Office Administrator – Northamptonshire (Guilsborough)

About the role

As a Crematorium Office Administrator at Pet Cremation Services, you’ll be an important part of a small, supportive team, helping our crematorium run smoothly while providing a compassionate and reliable service to pet owners and veterinary practices.

Based at Guilsborough, you’ll combine administration, customer care and practical support. From handling enquiries and preparing documentation to welcoming bereaved owners, you’ll help make sure every service is managed accurately, sensitively and on time.

The role requires reliable attendance at the crematorium. A valid UK driving licence is helpful, or you’ll need to be able to make your own arrangements to get to work on time.

Pet Cremation Services is a nationwide service that supports Veterinary practices and pet owners, from 15 sites, employing 200 people, and servicing practices, countrywide.

We're ultimately owned by the VetPartners Group, which employs more than 8000 colleagues, nationally, but also service other clinics throughout the UK.
