Job summary

Howden Group Holdings invites applications for a Summer Internship in Credit Risk Solutions in London. The 10-week programme starts in June 2027 and offers hands-on exposure to live transactions, research and client materials development.

You will learn how credit risk insurance is placed for banks, gain insights into deal structuring and interact with clients and insurers in a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year of university with a 2:1 or above in any degree subject.
• Interested in finance, global markets and current affairs.
• Strong communicator who enjoys building relationships.
• Numerate, analytical and comfortable working with data to solve problems.
• Organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage priorities.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Eager to learn, takes ownership of work and contributes to the team.
• Eligible to work in the UK without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Support live transactions by helping place credit risk insurance solutions for major global banks.
• Research borrowers, industries and market trends to inform lending and risk decisions.
• Assist with drafting contracts, presentations and client materials while learning deal structures.
• Build relationships with clients and insurers, gaining exposure to meetings and negotiations.
