Job summary

EXL is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a contract engagement in Halifax, UK, focused on reimagining SAS-based Credit Risk processes on Google Cloud Platform. You will work with business and risk users, bridging to GCP architects to define requirements and future-state designs.

Role requires strong stakeholder engagement, documentation skills, and banking/credit risk domain experience, with on-site Halifax presence 2–3 days per week and travel to other bank locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services, preferably Risk or Credit Risk.
• Ability to document current-state and future-state processes.
• Experience with data, analytics, or platform migration/transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops and interviews to understand SAS analytics usage.
• Document customer journeys and maintain journey inventory.
• Create current-state processes and workflow diagrams.
• Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for architects.
• Collaborate with GCP architects and engineers and support UAT planning and sprint activities.
• Track progress and support governance and RAID management.
