Job summary

DCV Technologies is seeking a GCP Data Engineer for a contracting assignment in London/Bristol, hybrid with 3 days in office. The role is with a major UK financial services group and FTSE 100 company, driving transformation of data capabilities to support sustainable growth.

The candidate should have hands-on GCP experience (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer/Airflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run), strong SQL and Python/PySpark skills, and a track record with data pipelines, DBT, and production support in

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP ecosystem (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer/Airflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python / PySpark for data engineering and automation.
• Experience in supporting data pipelines, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modelling, enabling modular, reusable, and testable data pipelines.
• Experience with LBG schedulers (e.g., TWSD) and cloud-native orchestration.
• Knowledge of data ingestion patterns (e.g., Datafusion or Dataflow).
• Proven experience in production support, covering Incidents, Change Requests (CRs), and Problem Management (PRBs).
• AI/ Machine Learning exposure and familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and SPLUNK.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience
