HSBC is seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst for Asset Management in London. You will help shape data requirements, document epics and acceptance criteria, and partner with analytics, delivery and IT vendors to improve data quality and controls across investment data services.

You will leverage SQL to validate datasets, work with GCP environments, and manage data artefacts, mappings and lineage. The role is hybrid with ongoing collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Proven working knowledge of Asset Management and the data used within it.
• Senior Business Analyst experience in investment data management (e.g., security master, pricing, holdings/positions, funds, entity data).
• Strong SQL skills with proven experience validating datasets and transformations.
• Hands-on experience in GCP data environments (e.g., BigQuery, cloud warehousing/lakehouse concepts).
• Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg data and common security identifiers (ISIN/CUSIP/SEDOL/BBGID).
• Strong stakeholder management skills across business, technology and third parties; confident chairing large meetings and driving actions.

Responsabilités

• Elicit, analyse and document business and functional requirements across multiple data services (epics/user stories, acceptance criteria, process and data flows).
• Use SQL to interrogate, validate and reconcile datasets; support root-cause analysis and resolution of data issues.
• Support delivery execution including backlog refinement, dependency management, UAT planning/execution and stakeholder sign-off.
• Define and maintain core data artefacts such as business rules, data definitions, lineage notes and source-to-target mappings.
• Work with engineers/platform teams to deliver datasets and controls on GCP (monitoring, access management, data quality).
• Coordinate with vendors and IT service providers to manage deliverables, issues/risks and drive actions to closure.
