Invecta are proud to be exclusively working with a Lloyd's/London market insurer seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join their expanding Credit & Political Risk underwriting team.

Are you passionate about international finance and emerging markets? In this pivotal role, you will support the underwriting of credit and political risk transactions by conducting in-depth financial and country risk analysis across a wide range of global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial analysis of international corporate and banking risks, with a particular focus on emerging markets.
• Evaluate a variety of transaction structures, including project finance and mobile asset finance.
• Review and summarise country-level political and macroeconomic conditions to support risk underwriting.
• Research company backgrounds, industry trends, and operating environments, engaging with local governments, banks, rating agencies, and other sources as needed.
• Present analysis and insights to underwriters, contributing to the decision-making process on specific transactions.
• Draft clear and concise credit memoranda to document underwriting assessments.
• Participate in identifying information sources, testing risk models, and conducting special projects related to risk analysis.
• Assist in preparing reports and data for internal stakeholders and reinsurers.
• Support underwriters in client relationship management and business development efforts.
• Perform all duties in compliance with the highest professional and ethical standards, adhering to the FCA Conduct Rules.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and geopolitical trends.
• Experience or academic background in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Prior credit risk experience in insurance, banking or asset management.
• Knowledge of credit and political risk insurance is desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
