Job summary

Think Accountancy and Finance in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a Credit Controller ready to extend their accounting experience. You will manage the debtor ledger and lead collections, while gradually taking on wider finance tasks.

Reporting to a senior finance professional, you will explore month-end, reconciliations, management reporting and cashflow analysis as your role develops, with opportunities to progress into other finance positions over time.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
• Ability to manage debtor ledger and contact customers.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• Willingness to develop broader accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the debtor ledger.
• Proactively contact customers about invoices.
• Monitor aged debt, debtor days and collection performance.
• Agree payment arrangements and resolve queries.
• Produce debtor and collection reports.
• Support monthly management accounts and reconciliations.
