Confidential is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join its finance team in a hybrid role in the North East. You will manage customer accounts, drive timely collections and maintain strong client relationships across the UK.

The ideal candidate has experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable, strong Excel skills and a proactive approach to workload management. The role offers a supportive team and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Collections.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
• Proactive approach with the ability to manage workloads effectively.
• Experience working in a busy finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
• Proactively contact customers by telephone and email to recover overdue balances.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently.
• Monitor aged debt reports and identify overdue accounts requiring escalation.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and collection notes.
• Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve account discrepancies.
• Produce regular debtor reports and updates for management.
• Support continuous improvements within credit control processes and procedures.
• Ensure all activities are completed in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
