Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is working with a well-established services business in Portsmouth to recruit a Credit Controller on a temporary basis for the next few months. The role offers an immediate start and a supportive team environment with good onsite facilities.

You will manage debt collection, build relationships with clients, handle credit queries, and support risk management activities within a busy credit control function.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in credit control and debt collection strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, resilient and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and collect aged and current debtor accounts, ensuring timely resolution.
• Build positive relationships with clients and internal teams to facilitate prompt payments.
• Handle credit queries and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Conduct credit assessments and support financial risk management activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of credit control processes in a dynamic environment.
