Job summary

JSS is recruiting a Credit Controller in London on a 12-month fixed-term contract within a fast-paced insurance finance team. You will own debtor management, chase overdue balances, and support month-end reconciliations.

We seek a communicator with excellent attention to detail and strong Excel skills. The role offers hybrid working from London with remote options and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
• Insurance sector experience is advantageous but not required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of accounts and prioritise workload.
• Excellent attention to detail and reconciliation skills.
• Confident using Excel and finance/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure timely collection of balances.
• Proactively chase overdue debt via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently.
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Perform regular account reconciliations and maintain debtor records.
• Monitor aged debt reports and escalate high-risk accounts.
